Mountain Beer Infused Spa Treatments for Men

Who knew that a wheat beer, when paired with sea salt, could help exfoliate the skin? Or that stout was good for the scalp? Or that yeast from an amber ale in a foot bath was an elixir for mild fungal issues?
The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Vail and Edwards-based  are collaborating to offer four different treatments as part of a new “Brew and Renew” package that certainly sounds like a unique kind of five-star beer tourism.
“Beer has many health benefits, such as containing a surprising number of vitamins, antioxidants, polyphenols and other beneficial minerals,” Marisa Selvy, co-owner of Crazy Mountain, said in a news release from the spa. “While the spa provides sheer relaxation for the customer, our beer provides the healthy rejuvenation needed in the winter months.”
The spa is marketing the treatments to men, but female beer enthusiasts also are welcome. (, perhaps). The treatments range in cost from $45 to $225.
Here are the details of each, provided by the spa (also available is a $150 “Brewsage,” described as “a massage incorporating hop oil, and a refreshing soak entitled Beer Brew Bath.”)
Sipping beer by the hot tub seems so lowbrow …
